There has been countless posts on writing for the web, but it generally seems that copywriters (and designers, for that matter) know very little about SEO.
We’ve seen it many times: a company writes their own content or hires a copywriter. They might also hire a designer for a new site. Both the copywriter and the designer completely ignore SEO (or aren’t aware of it to begin with), and the client ends up with an incomplete product that will need to be optimised later.
At Morning Copy we offer SEO services for clients in all industries. However: onsite SEO is included in every design and copywriting project we complete - because there really is no point doing something twice!
We’ll revisit designing for SEO in the future, so here are some thoughts on SEO and copywriting. Read the rest of this entry »

Our Sydney-based clients had a very yummy Christmas this year!
We commissioned Polka Dot Cookies to create some delicious shortbread biscuits decorated with our brand new logo (more news on the logo and our upcoming website overhaul soon).
To make them festive we also added a few Christmas trees and cute little dove shapes as well as the logo biscuits. Not only did they look great but tasted amazing and were a big hit with our clients!
A very big thank you to Libby, Ruth and the team for baking, decorating and packing them for us. We can’t wait to have another chance to design and order some more.
We’d like to take this opportunity to publicly thank all of our clients for a fantastic year. We’ve got big plans for Morning Copy in 2010 and we’re so glad you’re going to be a part of them.
Wishing you all a happy and safe Christmas and New Year.
The Morning Copy Team.

You could say that the digital age left publishing behind, in many ways, but they’re finally starting to catch up and Morning Copy is happy to be part of it all!
Recently we’ve been working with clients all over the world to deliver proofreading services in turnarounds that would most certainly have been unheard of before the Internet revolution.
Not only has the digital age completely cut out the need for transportation of manuscripts (basically stripping off at least 24hours of wasted time while the manuscript sits in the back of a truck somewhere!), but time differences mean that we can be completing proofreading projects for European clients outside of their business hours.
We’ve received numerous projects at COB European time and had the digital documents marked up and waiting in their inboxes by the time they open their office doors again in the morning! Now that’s progress!
Microsoft Word’s markup features mean we can track all changes, including comments and the author of the changes. When we say our work has been seen by two of our team, the client can not only see who worked on the project, but the changes that individual made.
Typically we provide each client with both a marked version (tracked and commented) and a clean version that they can send on to their design team. It’s been a great experience for us and we look forward to offering more publishing services in the future as the Morning Copy team grows.

Next week we’ll be attending the much anticipated Carsonified event of the year - the Future of Web Design conference in NYC.
It’s the third year running in NYC, so it’s sure to be a well-oiled machine.
There’s a cool mix of speakers from small and large companies as well as successful freelancers. We’ve just recently started using CoTweet to manage multiple clients’ Twitter accounts, so are looking forward to hearing Kyle Sollenberger speak.
We’re also hoping to meet some fellow designer and developer peeps and soak up a load of inspiration and knowledge.
If you see us there, don’t be shy, we’d love to chat! It’s our first time in NYC, so if you don’t want to talk web colours and CSS, we’ll gladly take restaurant and bar suggestions
See you there,
Dillon & Christie (click our names for our Twitter accounts)

Email marketing analysis gives a business direct access to their consumers’ buying habits and can potentially grow a business through strengthening customer rapport. It is important to treat your hard-earned database with respect as this will lead to more repeat business in the future. This equals higher profits! Newsletters can help your business to generate more revenue as it gives you the opportunity to find out what your readers really want from you.
It is vital to conduct a performance analysis for online marketing campaigns to gauge its success. If readers are unsubscribing from your mailing list or not taking up your advertised offer, then your business is losing money and wasting time selling either the wrong product or to the wrong market.
